Draycote Hotel And Whitefields Golf Course

The upper floors have recently been refurbished and the rooms were very clean and the shower looks like new. Only had a double but the room was well laid out and cosy. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. The feel of the hotel is very nice and spacious. Car parking was easy and free and there were electric points for charging your car if you needed them.

We had lunch on arrival, which was excellent, but the wine list was a bit limited. The room was clean and adequate for an overnight stay. The bathroom was in good order, a weakness in many other hotels. My only point of concern was the sloping roof being a health and safety risk, I lightly touched it with my forehead twice, spotting it a little late. my advice is to move the bed away from that as far as possible, this would mean the bedside table and sockets may need to be moved, so this may need to be planned to fit in with re-decoration. In the meantime, a Stripe could be painted down the edge of the slope to make it more obvious.

Room was okay, but felt a bit dated (which apparently depends on the part of the hotel you're staying at; some rooms have been renovated). Nice big lobby &. bar. We've ordered some food there which was delicious. They were also very accommodating with the check-in times, we've arrived a few hours ahead of the standard check-in, but were allowed to get to our rooms around 12. Lovely area outside, with a big screen on with various sports on to watch 👍.

Pleasant room with full facilities ie tea/coffee iron and ironing board. Bed HUGE and v.comfortable. Window could be opened for real fresh air - BONUS!. Breakfast selection of cereal adequate and coffee really good in quality and size of mug. But cooked breakfast - WOW. Best poached eggs I've had in many a journey away. Thanks Draycote for making my short stay enjoyable. PS Your staff are spot on, very helpful and polite.

The room seems a little tired but mostly quiet and comfortable. No noise from outside just thoughtless guests slamming doors - but hey nothing new. The food is excellent and hot.
